Direct billing FQA
Q: Can you direct bill this massage or acupuncture under my child or partner's unused insurance benefit?
A: NO, regardless of the reasons, you cannot put through claims for treatment that you did not perform. Receipts need to be issued in the client's name.
**Claiming someone else's coverage even if they are on the same insurance plan as you are FRAUD. The act of insurance fraud means that your R.M.T. or R.A.C. could lose their license so we will STRICTLY adhere to these policies and rule**
Insurance Fraud includes,
- Using a family member's unused massage therapy benefit (i.e. using their name on your official MT or Acupuncture receipts.
- Submitting claims for services that are not part of massage therapist's scope of practice (e.g. acupuncture, osteopathic manual treatment etc.)
- Submitting a claim for massage therapy treatment that was not received.
- Submitting a late fee , a cancellation fee, tips for reimbursement under plan.
- Using a massage therapist's professional Identification number without their knowledge.
Q: Buy certificate or gift cards, but want receipt to say I purchased a massage or acupuncture, not a gift certificate that way can claim it on ?
A: Insurance coverage does not cover gift card purchased receipts are required to accurately reflect what was purchased. (gift card or gift certificate)
Q: How will we handle direct billing for duo treatment, which includes both massage and acupuncture?
A: Essentially, duo treatment combines the two therapies. So, if you book a 60-minute session, it will consist of 30 minutes of massage and 30 minutes of acupuncture. We'll submit claims for both the massage and acupuncture, each under the 30-minute mark.

Q: What are your expectations after completing the online booking process?
A: You will receive a confirmation email once your booking is complete and a reminder the day before your appointment.
Q: Will I receive a receipt after my treatment?
A: You will receive a receipts via email once the payment has been made.
